چکیده
The Taguchi method of experimental design was employed in this study to scrutinize the impact welding processing factors, including rotating speed, travelling and pin profile on ultimate tensile strength, microhardness, strength Friction Stir Welded AA 8052 joint. S/N values for each process specification were calculated using an orthogonal array L9 design. 1150 rpm 28.5 mm/min greatest evaluation parameters, respectively, a used cylinder pin. A combination 32.5 mm/s conical cylindrical provided best toughness results. According analysis variance, spinning travel feed, shape had 37.34% further 34.33% microhardness. second set tests verified findings, with 349.96 MPa, hardness 115.31 H, 7.95 kJ.

Friction Stir Welding Process Optimization: Experimental Methods
Introduction The Friction Stir Welding (FSW) process is an innovative technique to join metals in the plasticity field, thus not reaching the melting temperature and consequently the liquid state as it happen in traditional welding processes. This feature of the FSW proved an enhancement of the fatigue behaviour and strength of the joints, leading some companies to adopt the process for the man...
متن کاملWelding Parameter Optimization of Alloy Material by Friction Stir Welding using Taguchi Approach
Friction stir welding is used as a solid state joining process for soft materials such as aluminium alloys and also for hard materials like steels. It avoids many of the common problems obtained in fusion welding. In mechanical, civil, automobile, naval, and aeronautical engineering beams are widely used of the magnesium alloys for different applications and that are joined by conventional iner...
متن کاملOptimization of the parameters of low-carbon steel (EN10130) welding using friction stir welding method
Friction-stir welding process is a novel method of solid state welding, which produces heat due to friction between the pin, the shoulder and the workpiece. This heat causes a paste area. Shoulder pressure and pin spin cause edges integration and lead to welding. In this study, firstly, the feasibility of welding of steel sheet (EN10130) with a thickness of 1.5mm has been tested by 58 experim...
متن کاملOptimization of Friction Stir Welding Tool Advance Speed via Monte-Carlo Simulation of the Friction Stir Welding Process
Recognition of the friction stir welding process is growing in the aeronautical and aero-space industries. To make the process more available to the structural fabrication industry (buildings and bridges), being able to model the process to determine the highest speed of advance possible that will not cause unwanted welding defects is desirable. A numerical solution to the transient two-dimensi...
